[TRTR] TRTR Meeting June 11th

Hello Everyone:
Just a quick reminder that we are having a TRTR meeting on June 11th at 7pm
at the Cultural Energy Radio Station (on Blueberry Hill). If you want to
bring a light snack to share that would be great. (water, ice tea and
cookies will be provided)

Please plan to come and share your ideas and hear from others how we can
best have a productive and positive impact in working with the Town of Taos
and the County of Taos. Currently, our goal continues to be encouraging the
Town/County to develop a transportation plan that meets the needs of all the
citizens of  our community. Continuing the discussion of citizen driven
petitions will also be discussed at our meeting.

I learned today that the upcoming Joint Meeting with the Taos County Board
of Commissioners and the Town of Taos Council is scheduled for June 13th at
1:30. Both the County and the Town agreed to have me speak at the beginning
of the meeting at which time I will be discussing the need for cooperation
and the sharing of resources between the Town and County. I will also be
asking at that time for a special work study session to be held where the
public can have more input both to the process and the development of a
transportation plan for our region.

We hope as many of you that have the time will come to the Town Council
Chambers next Wednesday which will clearly send a message that
transportation planning is essential to any further growth and development
in our Community. So if you can¹t make the meeting Monday please try and
come Wednesday. I have been told the Citizens Forum should be early in the
agenda. Also on the agenda are updates on specific roads scheduled for
improvements this year.
