Welcome to Taosenos For Real Traffic Relief (TRTR's) list serve. I apologize
for any confusion thus far regarding your subscription to our list serve.
You do not have to do anything else to stay subscribed. From time to time we
will send you an email updating you about the issues related to the proposed
Western Bypass and East-West Connector roads.

Briefly, TRTR has been actively dialoging with various groups including our
local governmental agencies with the mission to educate all Taosenos about
the facts and realities of relief/bypass roads.

Last month, we met with Mayor Duran and the Town Council members. In the
study session Mayor Duran told the group we all have a choice to live here
in Taos and that Taos is a rural community. He further went on to say if you
want to live in a community with big roads and is more urban you should move
to Albuquerque. TRTR shares this vision and believes all citizens must speak
up and be part of planning for the future of Taos.

Most recently, we were interviewed on KTAO by Nancy Stapp who has invited us
to come back for a more in depth discussion. We will email you when this
will occur.

We are also hoping that all the governmental agencies will come together to
address this very important issue. NMDOT has told TRTR there will be a
public meeting to discuss the findings of the Taos Congestion Relief Study
in early Spring.

I invite each of you to visit our website at:
(www.taosenosforrealtrafficrelief.info) which has a considerable amount of
information and will hopefully help you better understand the issues
surrounding the overriding need for creating a master plan to manage growth
and development in our county.

Thank you for taking an interest in YOUR COMMUNITY.
Barbara Sheppard
