Subject: Town and County meeting re Annexation

Dear Alliance,

The Town Council and the County Commissioners are conducting an
important Work Study Session on Monday, April 27, 9:00 am at the County
Commission Chambers on Albright Street. The subject is the Town's
Annexation Policy and the need for the County's approval.
Currently county land is being annexed and frequently upzoned without a
mutually agreed upon zoning guideline or Master Plan. The citizens of
the greenbelt areas are asking what policies will be used for future
annexation/rezoning, what agreement has the town and county reached?
Your voices are important to preserving our agricultural land  and
sustainable water source.  Please come to the meeting and address this
issue.
