Kathleen Parker, a columnist and Republican Conservative, was interviewed on NPR
today. She is the author of an op-ed piece for the National Review, about
Sarah Palin. Her piece suggests that Palin is out of her league, and should
step aside as the vice-presidential, and potentially presidential candidate.
Ms. Parker has received a lot of negative reactions to her column, including
vicious and vitriolic attacks. I listened to Parker's comments on radio and
read her complete column, and tend to agree with her: Sarah Palin is not
qualified to be president of the United States. I recall one of the early
segments of the TV series starring Gena Davis, about the character played by Ms.
Davis. It might have been Commander In Chief. When the president is on his
death bed, Vice-President Davis, is asked to step aside by the president and
others. She is resolute in accepting the Presidency. The character played by
Davis displayed, for me, a competency far greater than what I see in Sarah
Palin. The link below will take you to the site of Ms. Parker's article.
