Michael M. Grynbaum, The New York Times: "Wall Street stumbled again on Monday
as the banking crisis expanded its grip on the world economy, sending stocks
sharply lower around the world and pushing oil prices below $90 for the first
time since February. The Dow Jones industrial average lost more than 300 points
in early trading, falling below 10,000 for the first time since 2004. The Dow
closed at 11,143.13 on Sept. 26, before the 777-point plunge last Monday, which
means the index has fallen more than 1,100 points or 10 percent in slightly more
than a week."
