[Anyone] Planet Obama recedes into the distance

Dang.
We had high hopes for ol' Obama, but it looks as if he's just a chip off the
old Senate block.

For example, he's advocating continuing the brutal US notion
of tying health care to employment. In this scheme, certain people who work
for
certain employers get a bit of medical coverage, this latter mediated by
entities whose profits depend upon their refusing as much medical coverage
as they possibly can.
Citizens not employed by such employers don't count, at least in Obama's
eyes.
They can be bankrupted, in order that the same institutions responsible for
the
mortgage debacle can foreclose on their little houses and seize their other
assets.

Consequently, in USA, your taxes go to bail out silly Wall Street gamblers
and inefficient industries, rather than to ensure that
citizens have adequate preventive and curative health care, education,
transportation, etc.
Or, in short, in USA, taxes benefit taxpayers only to the extent that
they keep the revenooers from seizing the rest of their property.

Obama, purchased nicely by the insurance and pharmaceutical industries,
will ensure that this state of affairs continues to their benefit.

All that work...
