She probably needs the job to afford the car so she can go to work.
Depending on roads and weather conditions that's approximately 20 or more hours a week spent 
driving her car just to get to and from work.  Let's be generous and assume her car gets 30 mpg.  
That's $15 a day in gas times 5 is $75.00 a week and $300.00 a month just for gas, not including 
car payment, insurance, repairs, tires etc.  

$350.00 a month for the above and that's $650.00 just to drive a car.  That's without side trips and 
other driving on top of the 90 miles a day.  Doesn't include the hubby either.

Here's the example of how we manage to consume 25% of the earth's resources.

If she drives a (b)ummer or other gas hog triple the above gas cost.
