Both Amy Goodman and David Barsamian are not charging any fees to
speak in Taos. All of the proceeds of Amy's event will benefit
Cultural Energy's radio production, youth radio projects and starting
a new public radio station. David's event will benefit Peace Action
New Mexico, helping them bring the amazing range of speakers and
films they present to Taos year round.

Even Amy's books sales will be be going to Moby Dickens, helping
another independent book store survive in Taos. Amy has been tireless
in raising funds for independent media all over the country, all year
round. David's radio programs are provided free to stations all
around the world - he supports his amazing programing solely by sales
of CDs and books.

The box lunches are being provided at cost, or even below cost, to
make it easier for people to come to Amy's event during their lunch
hour. The completely slanderous remarks by "Mike in Taos" regarding
who is providing the lunch would result in a serious libel suit if we
knew who "Mike in Taos" was. It sadly reveals how cruel & bigoted the
individual is, given how peaceful, creative and loving this family is.
