Gosh, mikeintaos this is not about bill clinton. It's about lies,
misinformation and disinformation, which the bushies can only do. Even if
the truth were to be told for the buhies benefit they would still lie.
You still seem upset that clinton was gettin' him some, well, so was
bush senior and well, bush jr has his little condi.
During the clinton admininistration we didn't have major wars, there was
a bunch of money in the bank, and pepole were generally happy. Along
comes bush and we get attacked on our homeland - why DID HE SIT in that
school for 7 minutes and why wasn't he whisked away to safety - was it
because it was known that he was safe? - and why was that?
bush and his ilk let this country down - criminally. Now we have a
deficit that your grandchildren are going to be paying off, the moral
standing we used to have in the world community is gone, and we are no
longer leaders, save in things like corruption, torture, murder, war and
war profiteering.
Other countries around the globe are making great strides in getting off
oil as the primary energy source, they are making great strides in stem
cell research, and some are even, (gasp) taking care of their people's
health and education.
The US has spent several billions of dollars on the war on people on drugs
with the following results: the coca harvest and cocaine trafficking
frpm Colombia into the US has increased. The heroin production is Afghanistan is the highest
ever. Good job, bush!
And as the "leader" of the free world - that phrase is no longer
applicable, and even gets ridiculous at this time, but as the top dog he
IS responsible. Harry Truman said it: "the buck stops here." bush says:
"I didn't know about it" even when the evidence is to the contrary.
One of the cornerstones of this country is that of 'abeas corpus' - that's
Latin by the way.
"The right of habeas corpus - the right to file a petition for a writ of
habeas corpus has long been celebrated as the most efficient safeguard of
the liberty of the subject. Dicey wrote that the Habeas Corpus Acts
"declare no principle and define no rights, but they are for practical
purposes worth a hundred constitutional articles guaranteeing individual
liberty". In most countries, however, the procedure of habeas corpus can
be suspended in time of national emergency. In most civil law
jurisdictions, comparable provisions exist, but they are generally not
called "habeas corpus".
Unfortunately, bush allowed the CIA, and the military to hold prisoners,
torture them and now is needing to move them to Gitmo for further
treatment. Are they innocent? Guilty? How will we ever know? The world
isn't looking on favorably at this.
mikeintaos, I know that you are unwilling and incapable
of seeing the decline that this country is in, but nonetheless, it is happening.
Your denial is understandable and even forgiveable, as you have no real
power anywhere, yet when bush goes into denial and causes great harm, then
the world has a very large problem.
Remember it's all about Family Values.
