Below are 4 theories aboput the 9-11 attacks.  These are timely as ABC is
airing a fiction about 9-11 starting Sunday.  The Monday segment is
preceeded by a message from the Great Prevaricator himself.

Hi friends,


Since the events of five years ago, there are now at least 4 theories
about what may have happened on 9/11 being debated in global
communities, though the last two theories rarely - with the exception
of Air America's Randi Rhodes show and a few others - crack through the
censorious facade of US "news" media.

Theory #1: The official story - 19 box-cutter wielding Muslim fanatics
directed by a Afghani cave-dwelling leader on a dialysis machine
surprised the US government, intelligence and defense communities and
single-handedly flew 4 planes into 3 buildings, two of which collapsed
(WTC) without any help, thus launching (or perpetuating) a jihadist war
on the West. Why do they hate us?

(The evidence for this theory, if looked at closely, is flimsy to
borderline ridiculous.)

Theory #2: The "incompetence" theory - The above 9/11 events happened,
and the US government and military establishment were grossly negligent
in their response to the tragedy, from failed protocols the day of, to
stonewalling a public investigation until 441 days after the actual
attack. Surprising that not a single person within the US government,
intelligence or regulatory agency communities, with the possible
exception of CIA director George Tenet, have ever been brought to task
for gross negligence.

Theory #3: The "Let It Happen On Purpose" (LIHOP) theory - The above
9/11 events happened, with the knowledge of some key US government and
intelligence, presumably as a pretext for galvanizing support for a
more aggressive US foreign policy globally. (MEF's film "Hijacking
Catastrophe," which premiered at the 2004 ACME Summit in San Francisco,
come very close to suggesting this theory, and is an excellent account
of the newo-conservative influence now holding sway, if for a bit
longer, in DC.)

Theory #4: The "Made It Happen On Purpose" (MIHOP) theory - The above
9/11 events happened, and were orchestrated by key US government and
intelligence players as what is called a "false flag" operation - in
which patsies (in this case, Arab deviants, black sheep, and criminals
on the payroll of Western intelligence players) are used to take the
public fall for a "shock and awe" event planned and executed by "moles"
and others within the US halls of power, for the purpose of galvanizing
same public support for the "war on terror," an aggressive foreign
policy. There is a long and rich history of false flag operations, by
the way, for anyone who may be interested in looking past traditional
textbook accounts of history.

After many months of research and conversation with folks around the
world, and a close look at the evidence, I'm convinced that Theory #4
is the most plausible.

And, while there are a lot of nutty 9/11 web sites and disinformation
out there, I'd recommend:

Webster Tarpley's SYNTHETIC TERROR
Michael Ruppert's CROSSING THE RUBION
David Ray Griffin's THE NEW PEARL HARBOR and 911 COMMISSION: OMISSIONS
AND DISTORTIONS

As four thoughtful, well-researched, sourced books if people want to
learn more.

Incidentally, there is a Hollywood film from the 1980s called THE
PACKAGE (starring Gene Hackman and Tommy Lee Jones), which captures the
way theory #4 works better than most films I've seen.

And "V for Vendetta," now out on DVD, is a remarkably prescient film
that explores many of the themes at work in our own political culture
right now - The "Guy Fawkes Day" plot, around whom the character of V
is loosely based, is widely believed by historians of false flag
operations to be the "classic false flag" example, and saw English
elites engineering a plot to blow up Parliament, "nabbing" and blaming
the patsy (Fawkes himself) who allegedly planned the plot, and then
linking said patsy to the Spanish government, thus justifying a
subsequent war against Spain that led to the rise of London and the
British Empire, as well as the slow death of Spanish hegemony globally.

And, of course, both Hollywood and the corporate commercial TV networks
have been working over time to solidify THEORY #1 in our collective
psyche for a while now - watch IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF BIN LADEN or Paul
Greenglass "United 93" as two examples of what I would call
disinformation of the most Orwellian order.

So - maybe some of this information may be of use as we attempt to make
sense of myriad 9/11 propaganda being spun right now.
