Vice President Dick Cheney has Haliburton headed toward record
profits!!!!!!!!

NEW YORK (Reuters) -- A federal judge in Texas ruled this week that oil
field services company Halliburton Co. does not have to pay millions of
dollars in overtime wages claimed by U.S. employees working in Iraq.

The five plaintiffs had filed the lawsuit last year charging Halliburton's
KBR engineering and construction unit violated the terms of its contract
with the Pentagon by failing to pay them 1-1/2 times base pay for hours
worked over 40 hours a week.

Many of Halliburton's employees often worked as much as 100 hours per week
under dangerous and difficult conditions, according to the complaint, but
were not paid at the higher rate.

The five, who had sought class action status to include an estimated 20,000
and 40,000 employees who worked for KBR in Kuwait and Iraq, also argued the
company had paid them too little by miscalculating their wages.

U.S. District Court Judge Melinda Harmon agreed with Halliburton's
contention that, although the Pentagon contract called for overtime wages to
be paid in Iraq, U.S. laws governing military contracts allow only workers
employed inside the United States to be given the overtime pay.

Halliburton welcomed the ruling and said the court had upheld the contracts
it signed with its employees, which do not call for overtime pay, but
include hazard pay increases after 40 hours per week.

Karl Rove has shut down patricia madrid and the environmentalists and is
finding more gas for my SUV!!!!!!

A federal judge rejected challenges by environmentalists and top state
leaders and ruled Wednesday that oil and gas drilling at Otero Mesa can go
forward under a Bureau of Land Management plan.

The decision by U.S. District Judge Bruce Black turned aside core challenges
to the southern New Mexico drilling by Gov. Bill Richardson, Attorney
General Patricia Madrid and a coalition of eight environmental groups.

Condoleezza Rice has frightened the Arab's into lowering gas to under $2.00
a gallon!!!!!!!

Gas prices fall to $1.80 in Missouri Gas prices dipped as low as $1.80 in
Missouri today. This comes after prices of $2.05 in Iowa drew headlines just
two weeks earlier. Days later, analyst Philip K. Verleger predicted prices
could fall as low as $1.15. Verleger was the lone analyst two years ago who
predicted oil prices would soar to record levels in the ensuing months. The
U.S. Energy Information Administration has already stated it thinks national
gas prices will fall to $2.25 a gallon. Weeks ago, the consensus among
analysts was prices would fall to "around $2" by Thanksgiving.
